Day one of the 2017 Cheltenham festival was a cracker! Read a full recap of yesterday’s action here.

We kick off day two with a grade 1 novice hurdle. Neon Wolf maintained his unbeaten record with a impressive win at Haydock in January and is the 15/8 favourite coming into this race. I fancy Barcardys at 7/2. Ruby Walsh gets the ride on the horse who has a impressive win at Leopardstown last time out. Anyone who fancies a long shot I’d also have a punt on De Dollar Man who can be backed at a hefty 66/1. He won his first three starts but finished third at Ascot last month and is defiantly a horse to keep an eye on in the future.

I like the favourite Might Bite in this Grade 1 Novice Chase, he is in great form as of late and I think Nico de Boinville will give him a good ride. I’m going to go for a underdog, my tip is Whisper at 13/2. He won two grade 2 here at cheltenham recently and I fancy him making it a hat-trick.

Massive field for this Class 1 Handicap Hurdle, I’m going for Mullins’ Tin Soldier at 15/2. Ruby gets the ride on a horse who is on a two race win streak and i fancy him to do the job. Kalondra has each way claims at 20/1

Time for the big one, The Queen Mother Champion Chase. Douvan is a horse of a lifetime and I really can’t see anyone beating him in this race unless something crazy happens but at 1\4 he is unbackable. I expect Fox Norton to run his race and Garde Le Victoire also has place claims at 28/1 but i’m sticking by Douvan and I expect Ruby to do the job fairly handy.

Not the most exciting race in the world but i’d have a look at Sausalito Sunrise at 14/1. Richard Johnson gets the ride. The horse certainly has the ability to be a major player in this race. The favourite Cantlow is also in fine form and can be backed at 3/1 but i’m sticking with Sausalito Sunrise.

Gordon Elliott had a few big price winners yesterday and could have another one here with Dakota Moirette at 18/1 and Icario at 20/1. Both horses have a great chance but i’ll go for Domperignon Du Lys at 9/1. Daryl Jacob gets the ride for the Nicky Henderson prospect.

Last race of the day, another tough flat race. There’s something about 25/1 Irish Roe that excites me. The horse is unbeaten in three races and could pull off a massive win for Peter Atkinson.
Well there is my day two tips, have a look back tomorrow for all of Day 3’s action which includes the highly prestigious Ryanair Chase.
