By Dylan Goodman On Thursday evening, 10th November, Repeal launched a pop-up shop in Nine Crows, a vintage and reworked clothes shop based in Dublin, with a branch in Galway. The launch started at 6pm in both cities and ran until 8pm, with refreshments provided by Desperadoes. Repeal jumpers, shirts and hats were for sale.

NUIG Students Union to vote on the legalisation of cannabis

NUIG Student’s Union is planning to hold a referendum on Thursday the fifth of March on the legalisation of cannabis. Galway Students contract Tuberculosis

Three University students in Galway have been diagnosed with Tuberculosis. Two are students from NUIG, with one a student of GMIT. A spokesperson for HSE West said that the students effected are “doing well.”  The HSE say that the overall risk of contracting TB is low, despite the fact that the disease is highly infectious. Crackdown on heroin use in NUIG

by Amy Sweeney Security at NUIG have stepped up their game, after reports were made of heroin users openly using on the College campus. The University is working with the Gardai, to help prevent the use of the drug on the campus of NUIG  where paraphernalia and hypodermic needles were found.
